Microwave - Features (Please note that each feature does not necessarily apply to all models.)
Button panel / Pop-out dial (Select models)
Replacing the standard touch-panel control, an effortless-to-operate button panel, found on all of our new “Genius Prestige” ovens, makes it easy to select the desired settings. The Convection Oven takes this simplicity a step
further with an added dial for controlling the oven’s temperature. Additionally, time and weight are also controlled by dials. Elegant and attractive, the pop-out dial is a departure from the standard keypad found on most microwave ovens. The dial controls cooking time and power level and makes for easier selection when using other features such as sensor cooking, etc.
Combination feature (NNC994S / NNC994B/W)
There are three setting levels for combination cooking: Combi 1, 2 or 3. It's a good way for roasting foods by combining microwave and bake effectively. It's suitable for roasting poultry, meat and seafood. This function can ensure the foods cook evenly and retain their crispness as well as browning of certain foods. Please turn over the foods when half of the cooking time has elapsed, then continue cooking.
Fingerprint resistant exterior (NNSD297S / NNSD797S / NNSD997S)
Helping them stay cleaner and for longer periods of time, the fronts have a special fingerprint resistant finish.
Keep warm function A pulsing delivery of very low microwave power keeps food temperatures at a constant level--without overcooking. Our improved keep warm menu now includes five items so foods like stew, gravy and desserts remain warm in the oven
until you are ready to serve.
Menu action screen (select models)
The menu action screen display actually tells you what to do next. The words scroll across the screen, displaying the program you’ve selected and telling you the next step. It’s as easy as one touch on the appropriate pad and then
following the simple instructions. Display will read out in English, French, or Spanish.
Movable louvers (Over-the-range models)
They open when needed for ventilation purposes when the oven’s in use. However, when the cooking or defrosting task is complete, the louvers will automatically close for a more streamlined appearance.
One-touch Genius Sensor reheat and cook A miniature sensor is the brain behind Panasonic microwave ovens. This device picks up steam from the food as it cooks and relays the signal to the oven's microprocessor. Information is calculated to program the oven to cook each
food at the appropriate power level and time required. One touch of a single control pad will activate the sensor, automatically producing perfect cooking results.
